Hamilton Spectator Research

Hamilton History Centre members have access to the original copies of the Hamilton Spectator, housed at the paper's archives. We are able to research for specific enquiries in these papers which are otherwise not accessible to the general public. Research of the Hamilton Spectator newspapers can only be undertaken if a date, month or year can be provided. Research fees apply.

Historical Photographs

Many historical photographs have been gathered and are presented in indexed folders for easy perusal. Copies of these photographs are available for purchase in the following formats:

  • Digital copies sent via email or loaded onto a self-supplied USB
  • On photographic quality paper in either 10cm x 15cm or A4 size.

Please see below for fees.

Information lookups

We are happy to lookup information in the records we have.  Please use our Lookup Service to make a request. Please provide as much information as you can, including topic, dates and names.  The more specific you can be, the easier it will be for us to locate what you are looking for.  There may be a fee associated with searching for information. Please feel free to make an enquiry by contacting the Centre.
